About Me

Hello,

My name is Aurora. I work as a  Medical Assistant at ParkWest Women’s Health since February 2000, and as a Massage Therapist, since May 2007.  On September 18th of the year 2006, I established my own private practice, Aurora Therapeutic Masssage, which offers massage therapy services tailored to the unique needs of women throughout their lifespan. I am also working at the Jewish Home of Rochester - Outpatient Care, as a Massage Therapist, since May of 2007.  I graduated from MCC - Rochester, NY, in December 1999 with an AS Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and in May 2003 with an AAS Degree in Massage Therapy. In August 2003, I passed my board’s exam for Massage Therapy, and received my National Certification in November 2003.
I have been trained in Mother Massage: Massage During Pregnancy and Post-Partum, Anma Shiatsu, Fibromyalgia Massage and Oncology Massage. I like integrating acupressure in my sessions to balance, revitalize and remove any blockage in the body’s energy centers.
My curiosity in Eastern Alternative Medicine has its roots in my childhood.  I developed a passion for Alternative Medicine as a means to cure an aching body.  When I was a child growing up in Romania, I was privileged to watch my mother who used to treat colds, as well as aches or any kind of pain, with massage and therapeutic teas combined with western medicine treatments.
